Welcome to My Live Classes! ⭐️

Hi! I'm Mr. Zach. I LOVE teaching music!

I have a reputation for my Kids Piano program, which works GREAT for the youngest beginners... But did you know I have intermediate and advanced classes for students with prior experience? My live classes are for ages as young as 5 and up to age 18!

Let's Talk About Music...

Learning music should be a fun and rewarding experience! It's good for your brain... it's good for your self-esteem... it's even good for your health and social life because when you learn music, new communities full of opportunities for new friends and special events open up to you! What's not to love?!

My Very Unique Classes

I make 100% of my own curriculum from the ground-up, starting with a notation I invented to help my youngest students be more successful playing the songs they love to get the fastest and most confident start possible to piano!

Here's How My Program Works: I teach with an ultra-modern combination of top educational techniques and hand-made resources that guarantee my students will reach their full potential.

Aspect 1: The Virtual Course: Unlike most teachers who rely on a 30-minute lesson once/week, my students use a virtual course to structure their learning during our live classes AND to structure their practice every day between classes. This equips my students for a truly self-paced learning experience and lets them unlock their full potential far better than traditional private lessons.

Aspect 2: Universal Design for Learning: Universal Design for Learning (or "UDL") is a philosophy of education that gives students #1. Multiple means of learning and #2. Multiple means to demonstrate their learning. That's why some of my students on use my hybrid virtual courses; and others join the virtual course and also join live weekly classes each week for motivation, accountability, and of course, for feedback on their progress and guidance on what to work on next - all from the comfort of home. (Some students even learn from private teachers in addition to using my virtual courses for fun or for a different approach than traditional lessons!)

My Notation: Some kinds of notes are easier to read than others. That's why my students work from the type of notes that works best for their age, interests, experience, and goals. Since I have a patent on one of them, some of what you see can only be found here!

Kids Piano: My youngest beginners usually start with my patented, award-winning easy-to-read notes in letters featured in my book series Kids Piano! Volumes 1-3, designed to give young beginners confident mastery of how to use all our fingers on both hands while learning increasingly harder and more complex songs.

Music Theory in Kids Piano: All songs are arranged in levels, where each level has a special theme related to music theory, music history, special techniques, or highlighting a specific composer. In all, my Kids Piano books and course has 30 different levels, with a total of 30 foundational themes!

Once students have fluency in the basics, it's safe to start removing labels on our keys and begin the transition to standard notation!

Standard Notation: Older beginners ages 12+ can start with my Classical Foundations course for older beginners (or younger students who have completed Kids Piano). Most students are able to start learning other pieces in my Masterworks series surprisingly fast - pieces like Moonlight Sonata and Fur Elise.

Which Class is Right for YOUR Child? That depends on your age, your prior experience, your interests and goals! That's why the first thing we'll do when you join is have a one on one startup meeting to pick the best classes and courses for you.

I'd love to help you get started!
